    Girls’ Basketball Falls to Caravel in State Championship Game

    On Friday, March 11th, Sanford fell to #1 seed Caravel in the title game of the DIAA Basketball State Championship Tournament. Congratulations to the Warriors for delivering an outstanding effort in the hard-fought battle, which went into overtime with the score tied at 43. We are grateful to our team, coaches, and fans for giving us an unforgettable and thrilling season.

  • Girls' Basketball Team Will Vie for State Championship

    On Wednesday, March 9th, our girls’ basketball team defeated Ursuline Academy to earn a trip to the Bob Carpenter Center for a Friday night DIAA tournament championship game against Caravel Academy. For the title game, Sanford will be the AWAY team. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM.

    Tickets, $10 each, are available on the University of Delaware ticket site.
     
    Warrior fans should buy tickets in sections 15, 16, 17 (behind our team bench), 8, 9, 10 (across from team bench) and student sections 12 and 13 (behind the basket) 

    Everyone attending DIAA tournament  games (spectators, team members, school administrators, etc.) must complete a University of Delaware Covid Screening form on the day of the event. Click the "I am a visitor" option, then "coming to campus for another reason." Fill out your name and email address and complete the survey.  Once completed, you will receive an email that clears you for entrance to the game. This clearance must be shown at the door.

  • Girls’ Basketball Going to The BOB

    On Monday, March 7th, our girls’ basketball team defeated Cape Henlopen High School to earn a trip to the Bob Carpenter Center for a Wednesday night DIAA tournament semifinal game against Ursuline Academy. For the semifinals, Sanford will be the HOME team in the 8:00 PM game.

    Tickets, $10 each, go on sale Tuesday morning at 7:00 AM, on the University of Delaware ticket site.
     
    Warrior fans should buy tickets in sections 18,19, 20 (behind our team bench), and student section 2 (behind the basket).

  • Girls’ Basketball Advances to Quarterfinals

    On Friday, March 4th, Sanford's girls' basketball team defeated Archmere by a score of 52 to 26 in the second round of the DIAA State Championship Tournament. The Warriors will go on to compete against #10 seed Cape Henlopen in the quarterfinals on Monday, March 7th, at 7:00 PM, at Sanford. Tickets are available online at GO FAN.

  • Boys' Basketball Headed to the Quarterfinals

    On Thursday, March 3rd, Sanford's boys' basketball team defeated Caesar Rodney by a score of 55 to 48 in the second round of the DIAA State Championship Tournament. The Warriors will go on to compete against #4 seed Howard in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 5th, at 4:00 PM, at Howard. Tickets are available online at  GO FAN Sanford Tickets vs Howard. The ticket allotment is limited for both teams. The game will be livestreamed on the NFHS Network.

    Justin Griffith Wins 2nd State Title

    On Saturday, February 26th, junior Justin Griffith became a two-time DIAA state champion in wrestling. This year, Justin captured the title in the 182-pound weight class.

  • Girls' Swim Team Members to Compete in Consolation Finals

    Sanford eighth grader McKinley Jefferson will compete in the DIAA State Swim Championships consolation finals on Saturday, February 26th, in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke events! She will also join teammates Audrey Everett, Molly Loughlin, and Gabriella Radziewicz in the 400 free relay consolation finals.
