Williams Tapped to Conduct in Virginia

The students of the Charles J. Colgan, Sr. High School in Manassas, Virginia, will be treated to the talents of Sanford’s Clint Williams, chair of the performing arts department.
At the request of Dr. Ed Stephenson, supervisor of the arts for the Prince William County Public Schools in Northern Virginia, Williams will spend October 25–26 working with the school district’s honors treble choir. Sopranos and altos from the 13 high schools in the district will be selected by audition to participate in the honors choir. Williams will rehearse with the students all day on Friday and again on Saturday morning, with a culminating concert to be held on Saturday afternoon.

To receive such an invitation is quite an honor, and Williams was pleased to accept the role. Sanford has long recognized and fully appreciates the many talents of Williams, and it is not surprising that his excellent reputation for his work with young musicians has traveled beyond Delaware’s boundaries. We will proudly share him—but only temporarily—and are confident that the students in Virginia who are lucky enough to interact with Clint Williams will benefit musically and create memories that will last a lifetime.
