Sanford Students Awarded Scholastic Art Awards
Eleven Sanford students received Scholastic Art Awards for their work in Photography and Ceramics & Glass.
Finley Anderson ‘24 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “Shadowed,” a Silver Key in Photography for “Jo Malone,” and two Honorable Mentions in Photography for “Mid-Air” and “In the Mountains”
Olivia Garcia-Chope ‘25 was awarded an Honorable Mention in Ceramics & Glass for “Rings of Jade”
Morgan Kalish ‘27 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “Bridge”
Delaney Patterson ‘26 was awarded an Honorable Mention in Photography for “Shining Under Dying Light”
Catherine Shapiro ‘24 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “Ice Lights” and an Honorable Mention in Photography for “Tree Frame”
Julianna Shepherd ‘23 was awarded an Honorable Mention in Photography for an untitled piece.
Jackson Stenta ‘27 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “Henry”
Dylan Tuskweth ‘27 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “Nighttime Barn” and a Silver Key in Photography for “Hello From The Other Side”
Madeline Wilson ‘26 was awarded an Honorable Mention in Photography for “Lonely Dog”
Yiheng Yao ‘24 was awarded a Gold Key in Photography for “The Loneliness” three silver keys in Photography for “The Crossing” “Riding a Bike” and “Withered Dandelion” and three Honorable Mentions in Photography for “The Worker” “Beijing Landscape” and “Crossing Street”

Visit The Arts Center/Gallery at Delaware State University to explore this award-winning work by Delaware’s young creatives. The Scholastic exhibition presents the jury-selected Gold Key Award artwork from January 24 – February 11, 2023.
Scholastic exhibition days/times:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 10:00am-4:00pm
Thursdays (1/26, 2/2 & 2/9): 10:00am-6:00pm
Saturdays (1/28, 2/4 & 2/11): 12:00pm-4:00pm
Please note that the ACG is closed on Mondays.
