Varsity Baseball Team Claims First DISC Championship in Nearly Half a Century; Coach Clark Earns DIAA Coach of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that the Sanford Varsity Baseball Team has emerged victorious as the Delaware Independent School Conference (DISC) champions for the first time since 1975!

This monumental achievement is a testament to our talented student-athletes hard work, dedication, and skill.

We extend congratulations to Tower Hill School, our fellow conference champions.

Coach Jamie Clark was named the 2023 Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) and DISC Coach of the Year. This recognition validates our team's exceptional performance and highlights Coach Clark's outstanding leadership throughout the season.

As the season ends, we would like to take this opportunity to honor Coach Casey Zimmer, who will be moving to Florida at the end of the year. Coach Zimmer was named 2023 DISC Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Zimmer has played an instrumental role in shaping our players' skills and overall growth for over ten years, and we are grateful for his expertise and guidance.
