New Computer Lab Coming to Upper School

The start of the 2017–2018 school year will bring many exciting changes to Sanford including a new computer lab coming to the Upper School.
In order to make way for a new Spanish classroom, Sanford’s Upper School computer lab will be moving this summer from the third floor to the first floor of Stephen May. The new and improved lab will improve the experiences of all students and faculty who use it. It will feature ten new iMacs and ten new Dell PCs set up on four conference-style tables. The iMacs and PCs will be separated at different ends of the room to accommodate two teachers being able to use the space and teach at the same time.

Head of Sanford, Mark Anderson, commented on the new lab, saying, “We are excited about the facility improvements in Sanford’s upper school, much of which is driven by the interest and growth in our enrollment. We are committed to maintaining our small, intimate feel and personalized class size, even as we grow a bit larger. Additionally, we will continue to improve our spaces so that Sanford students have the best places to learn, study, perform, and play.”

With changes like this, students and faculty are once again excited for the upcoming school year.
