  • Middle School Students Compete at Delaware History Day

    Sanford Middle School students Allie Ganc, Aslyn Merrell, Rafaella Memphis, Nico Mucchetti, and Enzo Encarnacion-Bognar have been selected to participate in Delaware's prestigious History Day competition. Over the past year, they have dedicated themselves to preparing their projects for this event.
  • Kahlon Named U.S. Presidential Scholar

    Sanford senior Amanrai S. Kahlon '24 has been named a 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar, recognizing his academic excellence and personal achievements. Among 3.7 million high school graduates, Rai stands out as one of only 161 seniors honored. Rai joins Sanford alumni Christopher Copeland '09 and John Daniel Coburn '13, who were also U.S Presidential Scholars.

    Science Department Co-Chair and Upper School Chemistry Teacher Dr. Elizabeth Brown has been named to the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program’s Distinguished Teachers list. Dr. Brown's award places her among esteemed Sanford faculty members Dr. Paul Donovan and Lloyd Johns, who received the honor in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
  • Lilliana Xu ‘30 Wins Bronze Medal at MathCON Finals

    Congratulations to Sanford middle schooler Lilliana Xu ‘30 for her outstanding achievement as a finalist in the MathCON competition, where she won a bronze medal!
  • Yao '24 Awarded for Film "Unpaused"

    Last summer in China, Yiheng (Henry) Yao '24 took on an ambitious project by making his first short film, "Unpaused." Diving deep into filmmaking, Henry wasn't just the creative mind behind the script; he also handled casting, directed, shot, and edited the film. By fall, his hard work paid off, bringing "Unpaused" from concept to completion.

    The Performing Arts Awards occurred on April 25 at the Geipel Center for Performing Arts.
