How to Apply

Upper School

Sanford is that school where all three of my children have grown academically, culturally, socially and in other ways we never expected. The small class sizes and close relationships with teachers allow my children to be the best students they can be. More importantly, Sanford’s commitment to citizenship and self-awareness is helping my children develop into genuinely good citizens by truly being an extension of our home. Best decision we’ve made.

Admission Process for Grades 9-12

1.  Complete the application.
2.  Request the following documents from your child's school:
  • School Official Report
  • Transcript
  • English teacher recommendation
  • Math teacher recommendation
3.  Register for ISEE admission testing (if the student has not taken ERB or SSAT).
4. Schedule a student interview

Rolling Decisions

The Lower, Middle and Upper School Admission Committees review completed applications on a rolling basis. Decisions are communicated to families by a member of the Admission Office once the application for admission is complete (including all materials from the student's current school and admission testing).

Families are asked to reply to an offer of admission by the date specified on the enrollment agreement.
