How to Apply

Upper School

Sanford is that school where all three of my children have grown academically, culturally, socially and in other ways we never expected. The small class sizes and close relationships with teachers allow my children to be the best students they can be. 
Please use your email address to log into mySANFORD HUB, where you will gain access to the online application and your admission checklist.  Contact Ceil Baum in the Admission office at 302.235.6503 if you have any questions about this process.

Admission Process for Grades 9-12

1.  Complete the application. (online or paper version)
2.  Email writing sample
3.  Request the following documents from your child's school (online or paper version available)
  • School Official Report - to be completed by your child's counselor, vice principal, or principal
  • Transcript
  • English teacher recommendation
  • Math teacher recommendation
4. Please discuss standardized testing with your admission officer.
5. Schedule a student interview.

Rolling Decisions

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis once the Admission Committee has reviewed the candidate's complete admission file.

Families are asked to reply to an offer of admission by the date specified on the enrollment agreement.
