  • 5th–8th Grade

    Location: Middle School Library (302.235.6555)

Middle school students meet in the spacious middle school library for a snack and some time to be active outside. Students engage in supervised homework sessions (computers are also available for homework use only). Middle schoolers enjoy time reading, playing various games, and socializing with peers. We are in close proximity to athletic fields and the Sanford Sports Center, so middle school students can attend a Sanford Warriors game with parental permission. Stay tuned for some exciting new additions to the playground area that all extended day participants will be able to enjoy!
  • Middle School Cell Phone Policy

Middle School students are not permitted to use cell phones while at Extended Day. Students should inform Extended Day staff if they need to reach their parents. If parents need to reach a student at Extended Day, they may call the middle school library phone (302.235.6555). Texting friends, taking pictures, taking videos, or recording audio will NOT be permitted under ANY circumstances. Phones will be confiscated if they are misused during after-school hours and returned to parents at pick up.
  • Movie Policy

During inclement weather and on Fridays, we may view movies. Generally, all ages are permitted to view G-rated movies, and students in grades 1–8 are permitted to watch PG-rated movies. Not all PG-rated movies are appropriate for these ages, however, so the Extended Day staff may determine that a PG movie is inappropriate for students in grades 1–4.
