We Are Family

Our model of education is interesting when you stop and consider that some students spend up to 14 years of their young lives as Sanford students. When our kids say “Sanford is my home,” they mean it.
Recently, the school announced three exciting new initiatives that we feel will positively impact our Lower School and the entire school community. Sanford’s Lower School Referral Initiative, new early education tuition model, and expanded preschool program are efforts to make the Sanford experience possible for even more students and families.

I am excited to share that our new preschool teachers will be Lower School faculty members Krista Berneike and Courtney Kalinowski. These two educators are known to many in our school community and will surely deliver an engaging experience for three-year-old Warriors.

By moving to a preschool model, Sanford is now officially a 15-year experience for some some students. What a gift to work with and be mentored by Sanford teachers and coaches at each stage of a child’s development.

The early years at Sanford serve as the foundation for future school success. Every year we see the students who stay with us through Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School reap the rewards of an environment where they have grown to accept challenge, collaborate with peers, advocate for themselves, and engage fully in the life of school. Sanford teachers, at all levels, know how to construct classrooms where students come to learn, work hard, and have fun—because learning is enjoyable when students are engaged.

If you know families with students entering preschool to grade 4 in the fall, I encourage you to look into our referral program. To learn more, read Lower School Referral Program Questions & Answers. This information is also posted on our Parent Resources page on mySANFORD HUB.

Thank you for your support of Sanford. Because of you and the members of our community, our school continues to deliver an exceptional preschool through high-school college-prep program that encourages students to embrace their individuality, tap into their talents, stretch their skills, and broaden their ambitions.
