Middle School Students Honored for Writing

Ten eighth graders and three seventh graders have received Honorable Mention recognition in this year's Letters about Literature writing contest.
Letters about Literature is a national contest sponsored by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress and the Delaware Division of Libraries. Students write to an author, living or dead, and express how his/her book has touched their lives on a personal level. While crafting their letters students are reminded of the powerful connections that can be made through literature.

Our eighth-grade award winners are Lily Allingham, Paige Bobka, Sarah Filak, Claire Jester, Angela Kuczkowski, Zoe LaMonte, Krystal Luo, Leah Somerville, Robert Stafford, and Elizabeth Vander Laan.

The seventh-grade recipients are Jordan Baerga, Nithya Gadde, and Jacob Lafferty.

Congratulations to these talented writers!
