Empty Bowls Event

Throughout the year, students, parents, faculty, and staff participated in creating and glazing over 400 bowls for this event. All of the proceeds from this community-wide initiative will go toward the Plenty Pantry, a free food pantry for Delaware residents that is part of the WRK Group’s FED-UP Program, a Delaware-based program that aims to increase food security within local communities. The pantry partners with the Food Bank of Delaware to supply families with fresh and shelf-stable food items, produce, and household cleaning supplies.

At the Empty Bowls event, each bowl will be served with ice cream provided by Hy-Point Farms; lactose-free options will also be available. Families are encouraged to visit the Geipel Patio anytime between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to purchase a bowl. The suggested donation for each bowl is $10. Venmo and cash will be accepted.
