Transformational Coach is this Year's Four-School Speaker

On Wednesday, November 15, approximately 200 parents from Sanford, Wilmington Friends, Tatnall, and Tower Hill schools were treated to a unique experience—an interactive journey-led by Stacy McKenna, a transformational coach, writer, speaker, and producer.
Each year the Four-School Parent Committee researches presenters and thoughtfully selects someone to share ideas with the those in attendance at the evening meeting, usually on a topic regarding parenting.

McKenna was chosen for her expertise in helping parents become more effective with themselves as they work towards balancing their own personal, family, and professional lives. McKenna’s presentation was designed to give people clarity and vision to help guide them to the life they want to create for themselves, including how to balance that life, recognize their own self-truths, and identify setbacks that could block that success. Attendees left with the tools necessary to take inspired action towards realizing and achieving their own goals.

Committee member and Sanford parent Jackie Leo (Vincent '17, Jack '19, and Annie '21) elaborated on McKenna’s selection: “This was a departure from the excellent speakers that the Four School Parent Committee has been so pleased to bring to our schools. We teach our children the value of taking risks, and the committee has wanted to broaden our scope while still staying true to our mission. So, we decided that like our children and their teachers, we would allow ourselves to try something a little unique. We were thrilled when Stacy McKenna agreed to come to Sanford.”

The evening was filled with laughter, interactions with new people, and a chance to heighten personal self-awareness. Leo noted, “I think we all left the presentation feeling a little “lighter” than when we came in.”

In addition to her work as a life and leadership coach, McKenna is currently producing and directing her first documentary, Skipping Joy. To learn more about McKenna and her inspirational work, visit her on the web at stacyrmckenna.com or email her at stacy@stacyrmckenna.com.
