Counseling Speaker Series: Conscious Parenting: Raising Resilient, Self-aware & Connected Children

Conscious Parenting: Raising Resilient, Self-aware & Connected Children
Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Clinical Psychologist & Author
Dr. Shefali will introduce the principles of conscious parenting—a revolutionary approach that shifts the traditional paradigm from control to connection. Participants will explore how their own conditioning and emotional patterns influence their parenting style, and how self-awareness is the key to raising emotionally healthy and resilient children. With practical tools and heartfelt wisdom, Dr. Shefali will guide parents to move beyond reactivity and into deeper, more authentic relationships with their children. Parents will leave feeling empowered to foster mindfulness, empathy, and independence in their homes. There will be a special focus for parents of children ages 5–18.

    Families of Color Picnic

    Families of Color Picnic
    Tuesday, May 19 | 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Three years ago, during a Parents of Students of Color Affinity Group meeting, participants reflected on their child’s needs and experiences in school. They wanted a way for their students and families to connect and bond, and suggested an event where students could connect across divisions. Through thoughtful planning, we held the first Families of Color Picnic that spring! This May, we will continue this end-of-year tradition in Chapel Valley, featuring lots of food, music, games, and fun! Stay tuned for more information regarding RSVP.
