Eighth Grader Lilliana Xu ’30 Qualifies for AIME

Lilliana earned national recognition after scoring in the top 10% on the AMC 10, qualifying her for the prestigious, invite-only American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). This achievement places her among the nation’s top young mathematicians.
The AIME is administered by the Mathematical Association of America and serves as a key stepping stone toward the International Mathematical Olympiad. The rigorous three-hour exam features 15 advanced problems in algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics, all completed without calculators.

With her AIME qualification, Lilliana now has the opportunity to advance even further. A strong performance could earn her a spot in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad, placing her among the top young math students in the country.

We are incredibly proud of Lilliana and her achievement!
