2015 Yearbook Team Attends Jostens Yearbook Camp

During the two-day event, the team had the opportunity to work intensively on plans and designs for the 2014-2015 yearbook. The camp was led by yearbook experts from Jostens, the company with which Sanford partners to produce the yearbook.

“It is remarkable how much we were able to accomplish in just two days of intensive book-building,” Meg Fierro reported. “Our success paralleled and in some cases exceeded the work by schools with 6 or 8 students in attendance.”

The team’s work was recognized by the yearbook experts in two areas. Sanford won in the “Best Visuals” category after a PowerPoint presentation that showcased the team’s sketches, templates, and idea for theme development. In addition, the Sanford team took second place in the “Team Building” category after an exceptional karaoke performance! As a reward, Jostens will provide the Sanford yearbook with a completely free edition of “World Beat,” its full-color supplement covering national and global events from the school year.

The team reports that the 2015 Yearbook, titled Our Journey, is off to a “tremendous” start.
