Sanford Swimmer Makes History at State Championship

On Saturday, February 25th, freshman Bella Warner became Sanford's first swimmer to earn state championship titles in two events.
During the DIAA state championship meet, Bella won the 200 and 500 freestyle events. The first-team All-State selection was also named Delaware Girls' Swimmer of the Year.

Other members of our girls' team competed well—with our 400 free and 200 free relay teams setting new school records, and the 400 free team finishing 7th in the championship race. The girls' team finished in 10th place overall—Sanford's best team finish ever.

In boys' swimming, the 200 medley relay team made Sanford history by breaking the school record.

Congratulations to these hard-working student-athletes and their coaches.
