Girls' Soccer Athletes Excel on the Field and in the Classroom

Sanford’s spring 2016 girls' soccer team earned the High School Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Teams with an average GPA of at least 3.25 during the entire academic year qualify for the honor. Under the leadership of coach Heather Taylor, the Sanford girls far exceeded that threshold with an average GPA of 3.81. They joined 388 other high-achieving teams nationwide. Not only did the team excel on the soccer field—advancing to the semifinal round of the state tournament—but they also exceeded expectations in the classroom.

Congratulations to the girls' soccer team, and keep up the good work!
