Sanford’s Alex Gannon ’26 Commits to Division I Baseball
After helping secure a third straight DISC title, Alex Gannon ’26 signs with Division I Ohio University.
Sanford School proudly celebrates Alex Gannon ’26 for signing his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Division I Ohio University. A standout on the mound and at the plate, Alex has been a defining force in a program that continues to reach new heights, including Sanford’s third consecutive DISC title this past spring.
Over the past three years, Alex has played a central role in Sanford Baseball’s success, earning First Team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and junior and positioned to do so again as a senior. Across his Sanford career, Alex posted a .365 average and .473 OBP while producing 27 runs and 22 RBIs.
Head Coach Jamie Clark describes him as a dedicated and reliable teammate whose leadership elevates the entire program. As Alex prepares for his final season at Sanford and looks ahead to a bright future at Ohio University, we are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and all that lies ahead.
