Class Day 2026

The 2026 Class Day Ceremony brought the Upper School community together in the Rubin Family Auditorium to celebrate academic achievement and artistic excellence.
Head of Upper School Abbi Smith opened the ceremony by reflecting on what makes this community exceptional. "You show up ready to learn, ready to care, and ready to grow," she told students. "That combination is unique."

The afternoon included the recognition of 20 Sanford Lifers from the Class of 2026, students who have called this campus home since preschool, kindergarten, or first grade. Head of School Jaime Morgan addressed them directly: "You came to Sanford small, and you grew up on this campus, inside these walls. You will carry this place with you wherever you go."

Abby Krape '26 reminded the community that the connections formed at Sanford are the foundation for everything ahead. "We are the builders of our own puzzles, but that does not mean that we have to do it alone."

Pete Beste, Parker Price, Donovan Hendrix, Ryan Schmidt, and Andrew McConn took the stage mid-ceremony to perform Coldplay's "Yellow," and the senior performing arts students closed the afternoon with a performance of One Direction's "Night Changes" before the Class of 2026 recessed together.

Head of School Jaime Morgan concluded the ceremony with a reminder that growth at Sanford extends far beyond any single recognition. "Some of our most important growth does not get announced in an awards ceremony. It just quietly becomes part of who we are."

Congratulations to all of this year's award recipients, and to the Warriors who made this year great!
