We continually refresh our Lower School
, Middle School
, and Upper School
curriculum, always incorporating different media, styles, techniques, and processes. Students learn to understand art in a historical and cultural context and make connections between the visual arts and other disciplines, such as the sciences, social studies, math, English, and technology. They explore, discover, solve problems, and make informed decisions, which expand both their creativity and their critical-thinking skills.
As they describe and broaden their personal worlds through their artwork, a wide range of subject matter, symbols, meaningful images, and visual expressions become relevant to them, building their visual literacy skills and self-confidence as they create. Students do all this with impressive, often delightfully unpredictable results.
As you walk around campus, you’ll see these vibrant, thoughtful creations that make us and our students very proud.
